Ring masa lols.Masa is one of my family favorite for break fast, it takes me sometimes before i learn how to do masa the worst part is whenever am frying masa to turn it is another thing but finally i can now make masa perfectly. This is not the usual pan am using for masa, i bought one masa pan from a friend and i end up having ring on my masa. Lols

Ingredients

1hour
3 servings
  • 2 cupssocked white rice
  • 1/2 cupcooked rice
  • 1/2 cupfresh kindirmu(fresh milk)
  • Sugar to your taste
  • Pinchsalt
  • 1 tbspnactive yeast
  • Small fresh ginger
  • Small bulb onion
  • Baking powder
  • Oil for frying
  • Tanda (masa pan) for frying the masa

Steps

    Firstly pick all the dirty and stones in the rice if any.

  2. 2

    Wash and sock it with ordinary water for some hours.

  3. 3

    Wash it, add the cooked rice,fresh peeled ginger,onion and blend it with lil amount of water till smooth paste achieved. Also for the cooked rice you can blend half and use the half after you blend it optional. Or use it once and blend it.

    Add yeast and kindirmu, (fresh milk) (nono) if the kindirmu is enough no need of yeast, the kindirmu enough to make it ferment.

    Keep it in a warm place and let it rice for some time.

  6. 6

    After rises, add in your baking powder some are using kanwa any one that is available, add lil salt, sugar to your taste. Add lil water to the mixture if your batter is too thick, like the thickness be like yoghurt drink tick. If you want you can now add the half cooked rice that you remain.

    Heat the tanda masa pan) under low heat and spoon some oil in each section of the tanda. Add the masa batter in each and let it cook before turning to the other side. If you want you can cover the tanda.

    Turn it to the other allow it to cook till golden brown or till your desire colour is achieved.

    That's all for masa you can serve it with soup like miyan taushe,stew,egusi,vegetable soup, yaji etc
