Peel the asparagus well with a vegetable peeler to prevent them from becoming stringy. Blanch in salted water for 15 minutes.

Wrap a slice of bacon around each asparagus spear and place them under the broiler until the bacon is crispy.

In a bowl, beat the 10 eggs with salt, grated cheese, heavy cream, and diced provolone or mozzarella.

Butter a baking dish and pour in the egg mixture.

Arrange the bacon-wrapped asparagus on top in a sunburst pattern or as you like.

Bake at 400°F (200°C) for about 30 minutes.
