Spinach Corn Cheese Wadas

Kids favourite corn and cheese with healthy spinach. It is simple to prepare , colorful and appetizing . A perfect monsoon delicacy, party appetizer or after school snack for the kids . A delectable weekend snack. This recipe is a delight anywhere anytime .

Firstly blanch 4 cups if spinach leaves. Boil for 5-7 minutes. Strain and rinse in cold running water. This helps is retaining it's natural green colour. Let it cool down completely

Add this spinach to a grinder jar along with green chillies. Blend it into a coarse paste. Transfer the paste in a bowl.

Add bread crumbs, salt and corn flour to the paste.

Combine all the ingredient and mix it well. Keep it aside.

In a blender grind the boiled sweet corn into a coarse paste.

Heat oil in a pan adding chopped green chillies to or. Add the coarsed corn paste to it. Saute for a minute or two.

Add black pepper powder, sugar, salt amchur and salt as per taste to the pan. Mix it all well and saute for 4 to 5 minutes.

Once golden brown remove it from flame and transfer to a bowl. Add cheese to it. Mix it well. Keep it aside.

Take small portions of corn mixture in your palms. Make small sized balls of the corn mixture.Similarly prepare balls of the entire mixture. Keep it aside.

Take a small portion of spinach dough. Flatten it in your palms.

Place the corn ball in the center and get the edges of the spinach dough together. Seal the edges properly.

Similarly prepare balls of the remaining mixture and keep it aside.

In a deep bowl mix besan, baking soda and salt. Mix it well and make it into a paste by adding a little water.

Now dip the spinach corn cheese balls into this batter.Roll it well to coat properly from all sides

Deep fry in medium hot oil. Stir occasionally.

Once golden brown remove it on greased plates or butter paper. Similarly fry rest of the wadas

Enjoy the wadas with green chutney and tomato sauce.
