Ingredients

30 minutes
8 servings
  1. 500 gmcabbage (sliced)
  2. 100 gmchana dal
  3. 2onion (sliced)
  4. 4green chillies (slit)
  5. 2 Spring curry leaves
  6. 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  7. to tastesalt
  8. 3 tbspoil
  9. 1 1/2 tspmustard seeds
  10. 1/2 tsp urad dal
  11. 1/8 tspcumin/jeera seeds
  12. 4 tbspgrated coconut

Cooking Instructions

    Soak chanadhal for ½ hour and pressure cook with ½ cup water for 3-4 whistles

    Heat oil in a pan add mustard seeds after it cracks add urad dal and cumin seeds fry till dal is golden.

    Add green chillies, curry leaves and onion. Saute till translucent. Add the cabbage.

    Next add salt and turmeric powder. Mix well. Add the water from chanadhal and cook the cabbage.

    Now add the cooked dal and give a quick stir. Add grated coconut and mix well.
