Ingredients

  1. 200 gramschana Daal soaked overnight
  2. 1big Onion finely chopped
  3. 1 tbspginger garlic paste
  4. 4green chillies finely chopped
  5. Handful Coriander leaves finely chopped
  6. FewCuryy leaves finely chopped
  7. 1 tspchilli flakes
  8. 1 tspfull crushed coriander seeds
  9. 1 tspcumin seeds
  10. 1/2 tspgaram masala
  11. 1/2 tspturmeric powder
  12. to tasteSalt
  13. Forcoconut chutney:
  14. 1/2 cupfreshly grated coconut
  15. 2green chillies
  16. 4 clovesgarlic
  17. FewCurry leaves
  18. Handful Chopped coriander leaves
  19. 1 tspcumin seeds
  20. 1 tbspTamarind paste or lemon juice
  21. to tasteSalt

Cooking Instructions

    Grind chana dal into a very coarse paste.

    Combine all the ingredients in a bowl.

  3. 3

    Scoop out medium sized balls and flatten them gently between palms making round and flat vada.

  4. 4

    Fry in hot oil over low to medium heat, changing sides of the vadas till they become golden brown from all sides.

    Crispy Vada's are ready.

  6. 6

    Now for chutney, take a jar and put all the ingredients of coconut chutney in it.

  7. 7

    Also add little water and grind to a fine paste.

  8. 8

    Now, your coconut chutney is also ready.

  9. 9

    After all of this serve your vadas with coconut chutney.
