Ingredients

4 servings
  1. 250 gmsplit black lentils (soaked)
  2. 1 glasswater
  3. 4green chillies
  4. 1/2 inchginger (optional)
  5. as requiredSalt
  6. As neededOil to fry
  7. as requiredFresh curd
  8. as requiredNamkeen for decoration
  9. as requiredFresh Coriander leaves for decoration
  10. as per tasteChilli powder
  11. as per tasteRoasted cumin seeds powder
  12. Sweet chutney
  13. 1/2 cuptamarind
  14. 1/2 cupjaggery
  15. as per tasteSalt
  16. 2 cupwater
  17. 1/2 spoonchilli powder
  18. 1/2 spoonginger powder

Steps

45 minutes
  1. 1

    Grind soaked lentils, green chilli, ginger together. Put water in between to make fine paste.

  2. 2

    Take out in a bowl and add salt a little

  3. 3

    Heat up oil, then make small balls from the batter and put in pan. Keep the high flame for 1 minute then cook on medium flame. Balls will get cooked from inside properly

  4. 4

    Now prepare sweet sauce.. add tamarind and jaggery in a pan then add water. Mix well on medium flame.. let it thick and removes seeds from it

  5. 5

    Add some ginger powder, chilli powder, and a pinch of salt.. cook for 1 minute more and remove from flame

  6. 6

    You can soak bhalla's in warm water for making more soft..

  7. 7

    Squeeze bhalla, put in a bowl, add curd (must add sugar in curd). Homemade sweet chutney and sprinkle some salt, roasted cumin seeds powder, chilli powder..

  8. 8

    You can garnish with pomegranate, namkeen as per your taste
