Chop the potatoes in thick, long slices. Add the potatoes in the prepared grind spice with salt and rest for 1/2hr.

Wash masoor and soak 1/2 hour. Wash rice and soak 1/2hr.

Saute Whole Spices With Onion And Add The Prepared Spice Paste.

Once done, heat ghee in a pressure cooker. ghee heats add bay leaves+ cinnamon stick+ cardamom saute for 2-3 minutes. add finely chopped onions and saute.golden brown clr. add add the prepared masala with potatoes. Mix well to combine all the ingredients.

Add the yoghurt to the mix and stir fry for 5 minutes. Now drain the water from the soaked rice and masoor dal and add the rice and add 3 cups water.

Stir well and pressure cook it for 2 whistles.

Open the lid and mix it. Then serve hot.
