This is underground root vegetable and not everyone is fan. In Kerala, Suran chips are serving with Sadya. We can make Subzi not only for fasting but other days too.
Steps

Chop the yum into big size and steam it or cook it in pressure cooker (5 whistles). Remove the skin.

Cut it into square pieces. It should be bite size.

Take a pan, add oil. Once oil is hot add yum. Sprinkle some salt and mix it well and cook it on low flame for another 10 minutes. Don't cover.

After that add all the masala and mix gently.

Cook it on low flame for another 10 minutes. No need to cover. In between mix it gently time to time. It's ready to serve.
