Ingredients

  • 6 cupsflour
  • 1 sachetyeast
  • Pinchsalt
  • 1/2 cupsugar
  • Luke warm water
  • Oil for frying

Steps

  1. 1

    Sift all the dry ingredients in a bowl

  2. 2

    Add water bit by bit and mix until all the ingredients have combined (the dough must not be too wet)

  3. 3

    Leave the mixture in a warm place for the dough to rise or double in size

  4. 4

    Cut the dough into your desired size or shape and fry until golden brown

  5. 5

    Serve with your desired filling (mince,French, etc)

@Mashol do you think this is the same as your mandazi? I think fat cakes are called mandazi in Kenya. I am curious
