Firstly, soak the white peas in water for 8-10 hours or overnight. Wash it thoroughly and pressure cook for 4-5 whistle or until cooked.

Heat a kadai or pan, add oil. Once the oil is hot add asafoetida powder. Now add the cooked white peas, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, salt and mix well. Let it boil for 8-10 minutes, add water to adjust the consistency. Ragda is ready.

In a bowl take boiled and mashed potatoes, add turmeric powder and salt and mix well. Make small patty out of the potato mixture and flatten it slightly.

In a pan, heat some oil, place the Pattice in the pan and shallow fry on both sides until golden brown.

In a plate, take Pattice, add Ragda on to it. Now add tamarind chutney, mint chutney, salt, roasted cumin powder, chaat masala, beaten curd, finely chopped onion, finely chopped Coriander leaves and sev.
