First, take mawa in a bowl and add maida to it. Rub it gently and add baking powder to it. Make a dough of it. Let it rest for 10 minutes.

Now make small balls of this dough. Place some chopped nuts in the center and make smooth balls. Heat oil in a pan and fry these balls till golden brown on low flame.

For sugar syrup take water and sugar in a pan and boil it for about 7 - 8 minutes. Add cardamom powder to it.

After frying add these balls to the sugar syrup. Soak it till Gulab Jamun becomes spongy.

For making Diya cut a small top portion of Gulab Jamun and place an almond in the center for baati. Garnish it with chopped nuts and tutti frutti.
