Ingredients

  • 3-4large potatoes, peeled and diced
  • 1 tspmustard seeds
  • 1 tspcumin seeds
  • 1/2 tspturmeric powder
  • 1-2 tbspcilantro, finely chopped
  • to tasteSalt
  • 2 tbspvegetable or canola oil

Steps

  1. 1

    Heat oil over medium-high heat and add mustard and cumin seeds.

  2. 2

    When the seeds start to pop, add potatoes and let brown for a few minutes.

  3. 3

    Individually add turmeric, chile powder and salt. Don't over-stir, allow potatoes to get brown and crispy.

  4. 4

    Add cilantro and cook until done.
