Place the cleaned cauliflower florets in lukewarm water along with some turmeric powder for 5 mins. Wash it gently in clean water. Drain it and transfer it into a wide bowl. Add chilli powder, rice powder / corn flour, freshly prepared ginger- garlic paste, turmeric powder, asafoetida & salt. Add 1tsp of tamarind juice and mix all the ingredients gently. Add water if required. Ensure that each floret is coated with batter. Rest it for 10 -15 min.

Heat cooking oil in a deep fry pan. As the oil gets heated drop in the cauliflower florets one by one and fry it in batches until crisp with a golden colour. Fry some curry leaves in the same oil till crunchy.

Garnish the crisply fried cauliflower florets with curry leaves, lemon & onion rings. Serve it hot as an appetiser or as an evening snack
