I love baked mac & cheese, but sometimes you don't have any room in the oven
Cooking Instructions

Boil elbow noodles & cook al dente. Spray the crock pot with cooking spray. Place cooked macaroni in crock pot. Add butter. Add evaporated milk, heavy cream, 2 cups of shredded cheese & cubed white cheddar. Add salt, dry mustard & pepper Stir to blend. *Optional add a few sprinkles of bread crumbs* Cover & cook 1.5 - 2hrs on low, stirring occasionally. During the last 15 minutes add the remaining shredded cheese and let the cheese melt. Serve, set to keep warm setting until ready to serve.

I love a great Mac and Cheese. I am especially fond of southern style baked mac and cheese casserole but sometimes I want to cook ahead and I want to keep my oven free for other things. I know my Sister-in-law Debbie and my Aunt Dana both make amazing mac and cheese in the crockpot. My husband signed us up for a Thanksgiving get together at the last minute so I decided to bake my chocolate cake and make a crockpot mac and cheese. While standing in the grocery store aisle, I scoured the internet for a recipe that looked like it would result in a SOUTHERN version! I found a good recipe and it came out great but I realized while making it, that I could alter the recipe to make it a bit creamier, cheesier, serve more people and make it easier to put together. This is my version of a great southern crockpot mac and cheese!

Instant Pot Mac and Cheese
A super quick recipe I found online.. But I've changed the cheeses around and combined them. I use what I have as long as it's 12 Oz of grated cheese. I haven't used mozzerella though, just because it's too stringy. There is something that cannot be changed. Don't use the pre-shredded cheese in a bag as it makes the Mac and cheese gritty. Always use the brick form cheese and grate it yourself. Thanks bunches as always, to my hubby Mike for his photography.


Creamy Baked Mac & Cheese
It's hard to make a good baked mac, as when you make the delicious cheese sauce and put it in the oven the cheese inside can get lumpy or dry. I personally love a thick but still creamy cheese sauce even after it's baked. This recipe has mastered the perfect consistency in my opinion and is great for any occasion. If you follow this recipe you will have the creamiest mac and cheese even after reheating on another day cheese stays creamy and not dry.


Easy mac n cheese!
I used penne pasta instead of elbow Macaroni n I think it came out just as good. U can add bread crumbs to this recipe. If you choose too mid way through cooking cover mac n cheese with foil so the bread crumbs don't burn. U can also add bacon, ham or tomatoes before putting it in the oven as well. ;)

One Pot Tuscan Style Mac & Cheese

Everything is done in one pot, and you don't cook the macaroni... it cooks in the sauce. I just simplified it a little bit to be nicer on your shopping list budget.

My fave mac-n-cheese was always Kraft growing up. This mac-n-cheese is so much tastier (and healthier) than that blue box, and still made all in one pot. No flour and no blocks of processed cheese....The starch from the pasta being cooked in the milk is what creates the sauce. Finally, it is here! I had been wanting to make this dish for as long as I can remember. My daughters have been requesting for this for ages. Perhaps I couldn't find a great mac n cheese recipe, I mean I'd tried my fair share of mac n cheese, home-cooked and at eateries. I wasn't at all impressed. Sure, some are Instagram-worthy with all that photogenic cheese pull but most fall flat on flavors.They were either too gloopy or too blend without much depth in flavors. Some of the cheese sauces are too over-powering which kinda makes me wanna throw up. Yes, it is that bad. And please don't get me started on the bread crumbs. I also had tried my hands on some of the celebrity chef's recipes, but I still wasn't impress. Until I stumbled upon Heston Blumenthal's version. He is right, you will never cook mac n cheese the same way again.He is right about the typical cheese sauce or mornay sauce whereby it starts with a roux and mixing in the milk and cheese. The roux will somehow makes the sauce gloopy and mask the flavors of the cheese. He switched the traditional ingredients and methods out for 4 simple elements: wine, stock, corn flour and cheese. I was a bit mindblown cos I finally found someone who agrees with me. Without much hesitation, I went ahead with his recipe and guess what? He also uses the same pasta cooking method as I am. How cool is that?
