Moong Dal Palak with Boiled Rice 😋

Steps

Wash & soak Dal for half and hour to 1 hour.

Now blend onion, green chilli, turmeric powder and red chilli powder with half cup of water.

Now in a pot heat oil and put cumin seeds, when they starts crackling.. add ginger garlic paste and saute for a min.. then add onion paste and cook on medium flame.

When you can smell the aroma of Masala add tomatoes and salt.. cover the lid and cook until tomatoes becomes soft.. then bhunofy it.

When oil and masala separates then add soaked daal and water and cook it on high flame for 3 to 4 mins, when it starts boiling, cook on low flame until moong dal tenders..

Now add spinach to it and cook for another 10 mins on low flame.. you can add water as required to it.

Now add whole spice powder & roasted cumin powder, chopped cilantro and mix it well and turn of the flame.

Now prepare baghar... for that heat ghee in a pan, add sliced onions and fry until golden brown..

Now add red button chillies, cumin seeds & curry leaves.. let them fry for a min and pour it to the dal..

Boil rice with salt and water, strain them when they are done and put them on dumm for 5 mins. Now they are ready to serve with moong dal palak. Enjoy !
