Ingredients

45 mins
3 to 4 person
  • 1 kgPalak (spinach)
  • 2 tbspchopped onion
  • 3 clovesgarlic chopped
  • 1 tspCrushed roasted cumin seeds
  • 1 tspCoriander powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tspRed chilli powder or chilli flakes
  • 1/2 tspGrren chilli paste
  • 1/4 cupOil or butter
  • Cottage cheese OR triangle cheese
  • 2 tbspcream
  • Red button chillies (for garnish)

Steps

  1. 1

    First cut n wash palak (spinach) then blanch it for 5 mints,drain out the water and make puree in blender.

  2. 2

    Heat oil in a pan add chopped onion n garlic saute for 2 mints when onion turns transparent.

  3. 3

    Now add green chilli paste and all the spices memtioned above

  4. 4

    Now add little amount of water and let tha spices cook for 2 mints.now add spinach puree followed by cream and let it simmer for more 5 mins

  5. 5

    Meanwhile stir fry cottage cheese cubes (don't brown it too much)and red button chillies in a different pan...dish out the spinach and garnish with cottage cheese and button chillies, I don't have cottage cheese this time so I used triangle cheese as it is, enjoy with your choice of roti 😊.

    Tip:never cover the lid while cooking spinach to mantain its greenish colour.
