Ingredients

  • Harissa Layer
  • 1 cupsemolina
  • 1 cupcoconut flakes
  • 1/2 cupmilk
  • 1 cupyogurt
  • 1/2 cupoil
  • 1/4 cupsugar
  • Pinchsalt and baking soda
  • 1/2 tspbaking powder
  • 1 tbsporange blossom water
  • Cheese layer
  • 2mozzarella balls
  • 1/2 cupcream
  • 1 tsporange blossom water
  • Kunafa Layer
  • 1 cupkataifi pastry
  • 1/2 cupmelted butter
  • 1 tbspsugar
  • Sugar syrup
  • 1/2 cupsugar
  • 1/2 cupwater
  • 1 tsporange blossom water

Steps

  1. 1

    Prepare your sugar syrup by bringing ingredients to a boil then allow to cool.

  2. 2

    In a bowl, mix all the ingredients for the Harissa layer.

  3. 3

    In a baking dish, spread a light layer of tahini then add your Harissa mix.

  4. 4

    In another bowl, shred your mozzarella, mix with thick cream than add onto Harissa mix.

  5. 5

    In another bowl, shred Kataifi pastry then add melted butter and sugar - mix then spread onto cheese layer.

  6. 6

    Bake at 180C for 30-35 minutes until browned.

  7. 7

    Add sugar syrup mix and wait to cool (or not!) and enjoy.
