Because of some healthy reasons.
AP ki kidhmat mein hazir he Dhood waly Masoor chawal ( Masar chool ) 😆
Try it handi ( clay pot )
It will be more tasty then other pots.

Ingredients

25 minutes
4,5 serving
  • 500 GramsSabut Masoor
  • 3,4Garlic cloves
  • 1 teaspoonRed chilli powder
  • 1/2 teaspoonTurmeric powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Water as required
  • 1 cupMilk
  • For Taarka
  • 1small Onion Finley sliced
  • 2 TablespoonsOil
  • 2,3Dried red Chilli
  • 1 teaspoonCumin seed
  • Garnishing
  • Cilantro as required
  • 1Green Chillies
  • 1 teaspoonGaram masala powder

Steps

25 minutes
  1. 1

    Wash and rinse lentil nicely (Masoor Dal) with cold water,

    Put in clay pot,add 4,5 cup water,then add Salt, red Chilli, turmeric

    Garlic cloves cut in slice and add in.

    Mix them and cover with clay lid,let simmer arround 15 to 20 minutes, dal should be soft but not mushy

    If dal is too thick you can add more water

    When daal almost done,add 1 cup of milk,it will give creamy texture add good flavour.

    Cook until the right consistency

    Heat oil or ghee in small saucepan, add onion fry until turning golden add 2 or 3 whole dried red chillies and cumin seeds

    Garnish daal with golden brown fried onion tarka and cilantro leaves.and sprinkle some garam masala.
