Tomatoes are in season.So here's a quick easy peasy one pot recipe. You can have it in lunch or in dinner and can be served with raita or simply as it is.

Wash and soak rice for nearly 10 minutes

Cut onion and tomatotes into small pieces. Heat oil in a pan. Add whole spices and crackle them. Add ginger garlic paste and saute till raw smell goes away.

Add chopped onions. Saute till it turns pink. Now add tomatoes, turmeric powder, red chiili powder, coriander powder, and salt to taste. Cook till all the tomatoes turns mushy.

Add soaked rice and add 2 1/2 cups of water. cook till done
