Ingredients

25 minutes
6 servings
  • 2 cupBasmati rice (washed and soaked)
  • 1/2 cupgreen peas (hari matar)
  • 1black cardamom
  • 2green cardamom
  • 2 inchcinnamon stick
  • 1/2 tspblack cumin (syah zeera)
  • 2-3cloves
  • 1-2bay leaf
  • 1 tbspclarified butter (ghee)
  • to tasteSalt
  • 3 1/2 cupwater

Steps

25 minutes
  1. 1

    In a pot on medium heat pour ghee and add on whole spice (black cardamom, green cardamom, black cumin, bay leaf, cinnamon stick and cloves),when spice starts crackle add all 3 1/2 cup water and salt to taste.

    Cover and bring water to boil on high heat, when start boiling add rice (should be sieved) to the boiling water mix well and cover to cook still on high heat.

    After 5 minutes rice will soak all the water, at this point sim your flame/ heat add peas mix it and again cover and cook for 15 minutes.

    Finally tasty peas pulao is ready to serve just garnish with fried onion (barista) and serve with any korma or curry.
