Easy Strawberry Jam in a Microwave

This is a strawberry jam I make every year. I've often made it in a pot, but making it in the microwave takes only a short time and has the best color. 1 package only needs three 5 minute heating sessions. It can be stored in the freezer.
Make in a large bowl. The reason for heating it in 3 sets of 5 minutes is so that you can remove the scum. It doesn't take a lot of fuss, but if you remove the scum, you'll have a lovely jam. Recipe by kikimidori

Steps
- 1
Combine the washed strawberries in a heatproof bowl and top with the sugar. If you are using large strawberries, cut first.
- 2
Add the lemon juice, then mix it all together and let sit for 10 minutes. When some moisture comes out, microwave uncovered.
- 3
Heat for 5 minutes. Remove from the microwave. There will be a lot of scum, so use a deep bowl.
- 4
Remove the scum from the surface. but leave the scum around the edges. Repeat the process 3 times.
- 5
Microwave 3 times for 5 minutes each and it's done! Fill a 12 cm ramekin with the jam. Once cooled, chill in the refrigerator until thickened.
