Ingredients

  • 500 gmprawn
  • 2 cuprice
  • 1big onion sliced
  • 2medium tomatoes chopped
  • 1-2green chillies slit
  • 2 tspginger garlic paste
  • 4cloves
  • 2cardamom
  • 1 inchcinnamon stick
  • 1bay leaf
  • 1 1/2 tspred chilli powder
  • 1/2 tspcumin powder
  • 1/2 tspturmeric powder
  • 1lemon
  • 4 cupwater
  • 2 tspCoriander leaves for garnish
  • 4 tspOil
  • as per taste Salt

Steps

  1. 1

    Clean and devein prawn.

    Wash. Add 1/2 tsp turmeric powder and salt.
    Mix keep aside for 20 mnts.

    Wash rice and soak for 15 mnts.

  4. 4

    Heat oil in pan and shallow fry prawns on both sides.
    Keep aside.

    Heat oil in another pan add clove, cardamom, cinnamon stick,bay leave.

    Add sliced onion and green chili. Cook little.
    Add ginger garlic paste.cook little.

    Add tomatoes continue to cook for 4-5 mnts on medium heat till tomatoes are soft.

    Reduce heat to low. Add red chilli powder and cumin powder mix.

    Add soaked and drained rice. Mix.

    Pour in water,lemon juice and salt. Let it boil.

    Reduce heat. Add prawns.cover and cook till done.

    Garnish with chopped coriander leaves.

    Serve hot.
