Black Cat Cookies for Halloween

Recently I've been seeing a lot of cookies that hang from the brim of cups. Since they always seem to be simple shapes, I tried making some myself. You could probably make monkeys too! Recipe by decocookie.

Cooking Instructions
- 1
Return the butter to room temperature.
- 2
Put the butter in a bowl and cream it until it becomes smooth.
- 3
Add the sugar and cream until pale and thick.
- 4
Break the egg yolk and gradually add it to Step 3. Mix it in well.
- 5
Also gradually pour in the milk, the same as the egg yolk, and mix in well. Make sure to really combine everything well so that it doesn't separate.
- 6
Sift the black cocoa powder and the flour into Step 5. Mix well.
- 7
Gather up the dough from Step 6 into one mass and place on a paper towel. Cover it with plastic wrap from the top.
- 8
Roll the dough out until about 5 mm thick. Place in the refrigerator just like that for 30 minutes or more.
- 9
As the dough is chilling, make the cat pattern. Draw a cat on a piece of paper (you can buy pattern paper), and place it on a clear folder. Cut it out with scissors.
- 10
Remove the dough from the refrigerator. Place the pattern from Step 9 on the dough and cut out the shapes with a knife.
- 11
Bake for 18-20 minutes in a preheated to 170°C oven. Once baked, let them cool at room temperature.
- 12
Hang the cats from a cup containing your favorite drink, and enjoy!!

Halloween Cookies Halloween Cookies
I drew fun Halloween characters using icing! By using specially shaped cookie cutters you can make even more designs. I hope you'll make a lot of these cookies!Watch the consistency of the icing. For drawing outlines and letters it should be on the stiff side, and to spread out over a large area it should be on the loose side. When thinning out the icing, try adding a drop of lemon juice. For about 20-25 black and white cookies, each one 5 cm [2.0 in] big. Recipe by Choco makaron cookpad.japan -

Jack Cookies for Halloween with Black Sesame Jack Cookies for Halloween with Black Sesame
I love Halloween, and I'm a big fan of Jack Skellinton from the film "The Nightmare Before Christmas." I felt that the deep color of black sesame was better suited for these cookies, rather than cocoa. Please take care when placing on the facial features. Even if it's a little crooked, well, Jack's face is a bit crooked, so don't worry about it. But if you're really having a lot of difficulty, just roll the two types of dough together to make black sesame marble cookie! If you don't press the black dough into the face, when baked it'll turn brown instead of black, so be careful. The amount of cookies yielded by this recipe depends on the size of each one. Simple Kabocha Cookies for Halloween Simple Kabocha Cookies for Halloween
I received a lot of kabocha so I tried making cookies. And since it was Halloween, I made them in pumpkin shapes with a cute smile. The baking time may depend on the oven used, so please watch carefully to make sure they don't burn. I recommend adding cinnamon if you like. As this dough doesn't stick to your hands easily, it's a great activity to enjoy with your kids. Recipe by Yuyu cookpad.japan -

Frosted Cookies Halloween Ghosts Frosted Cookies Halloween Ghosts
I adapted the cookie recipe from one in a cookbook called "DIA Collection's Frosted Cookie Decoration Recipe." I think that this only needs black icing instead of several colors, which simplifies the recipe. For the icing tip, even a 1mm icing tip may be too wide. It's easier to cut a tip off a plastic icing or piping bag so you can draw a thin line. You can use the cheap ones.Makes 80 cookies.(Recipe by xxsayumixx) cookpad.japan -
Halloween Sugar Monster Cookies Halloween Sugar Monster Cookies
My wife needed something for a baked goods fundraiser, and, as kids don't pine for infusions of basil or balsamic caramels, I came up with this. It's a firm but chewy sugar drop cookie in sugar sprinkles and decorated with candy eyes for monstrous effect. Had to make a couple recipes as my little monsters were ferociously devouring the sugar monsters with reckless abandon, and we needed 3 dozen for the sale. Scales well. Sean -
Kabocha Squash Cookie for Halloween Kabocha Squash Cookie for Halloween
I wanted to make a pumpkin color and pumpkin shaped cookie for a gift. I give it to people in a black box with an orange ribbon with a Halloween mood. The shaping process after wrapping in a cellophane wrap will determine the cookie shape either to look like a pumpkin or not so try to press it well to shape. The pumpkin pattern will disappear while baking if the cuts are too shallow. The cookies will look more shiny if you brush the remaining egg white or beaten egg on the surface of the cookies before baking. I made these for Halloween this year.Make the cookie dough as firm and thick as you like. You can adjust the firmness by tweaking the amounts of water and flour used. Feel free to adjust the amount of oil and syrup. You can also make crackers if you replace the sweet ingredients with water or soy milk, make the dough firm and roll it out very thinly.
