I tried to recreate a dish from a well-known restaurant on "Hoppy Street" in Asakusa. The one from the store tastes even better!

●The most important point is to use raw offal.
●After adding the water, mix it very well to emulsify and thicken the sauce. Recipe by Cooking S Papa

Ingredients

  1. 150 gramsBeef offal (raw)
  2. 1/2Onion
  3. 1 tbspGochujang
  4. 1 tspSugar
  5. 1 tspOyster sauce
  6. 1/4 tspGarlic (grated)
  7. 1 dashSalt and pepper
  8. 1 tbspSesame oil
  9. 50 mlWater

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

If possible, use raw offal. It's a little expensive but the taste is completely different from boiled!

  2. 2

Wash the offal and strain in a colander.

  3. 3

Cut the onion into 1 cm slices. Grate 1/2 a garlic clove.

  4. 4

Heat a frying pan on medium heat. Once warmed, add the sesame oil and cook the offal.

  5. 5

After 1 minute, add the gochujang and continue cooking until fragrant.

  6. 6

Add the onion, sugar, oyster sauce, and garlic, and cook quickly.

  7. 7

Add the water and stir well to blend everything together. Let the liquid thicken and then season lightly with salt and pepper.

  8. 8

Arrange on a dish and sprinkle with pepper to finish.

  9. 9

Since this is part of the "Hoppy Street" menu, I accompanied it with "Hoppy" (black) beer!
