Candied Kumquats 5 Minutes in a Microwave for Osechi

I tried recalling the taste of my mom's recipe while I simplified the cooking using a microwave.
The flavor settles in as it cools. If you don't have honey or soft brown sugar, using white sugar is fine. Recipe by Sakuragainoomoide

- 2
Place in a microwave-safe bowl and sprinkle with honey or soft brown sugar.
- 3
Cover with plastic wrap, and microwave at 600 W for 5 minutes. Remove the plastic wrap, cool, and they're done.
- 4
