Soak red chilli in a bowl for 20 minutes

Then remove it from the water and put in the mixer jar. Add salt, chopped garlic and onion

Grind to a smooth paste

Pour oil in a pan. Pop mustard seeds and urad dall. Add curry leaves. Then pour this paste and fry for five minutes in low flame

Turn off the flame and transfer it to a bowl.

This chutney goes well with all kind of dosas.
