Pressure cook Taro root for 3 whistles. When the pressure is released, peel the skin and cut it into medium-sized pieces.

In a pan add little oil saute the ingredients until golden brown and grind everything into a fine paste

In a pan add oil when it is hot add Mustard seeds when it splutter adds urad dal, curry leaves, and hing. Add the ground paste, turmeric powder, and salt.

Saute for a few minutes till the raw smell of the tamarind goes off.

Then add the taro root, mix well and cook for a few minutes. Switch off the flame and goes well with hot rice.
