Ingredients

  • For the filling:
  • 2 cupscubed paneer
  • 1/2 cupfinely chopped capsicum
  • 1 cupfinely chopped onion
  • 2medium size tomatoes chopped
  • 1 tablespoonfinely chopped garlic
  • 2 tablespoonbutter
  • 2 tablespoonoil
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tablespoontomato ketchup
  • 1 teaspoonpau bhaji masala
  • 1/2 teaspoonturmeric
  • 1 teaspoonchilli powder

Steps

    In a pan, on medium heat add oil and butter. Once the butter is melted add in chopped garlic. Sauté for 30 seconds and add chopped onions. Saute until tender. Add in the capsicum and let it cook for a minute.

    Add chopped tomatoes, turmeric, chilli powder, salt, coriander, ketchup and pau bhaji masala. Mix all and add 2 tablespoon water and let it cook for 1 minute. Finally add paneer cubes and mix well. Cook for a minute and turn off the gas.

    Take a bun and slit in 2 halves. Spread green chutney on one side of the bun and spread paneer mix on another. Add grated cheese on top if preferred and put the other bun on top.
    Heat a tawa and add 1 teaspoon of butter few coriander leaves and pau bhaji masala. Put the bun in tawa and press it with a ladle. Flip and cook the otherside.
    Serve hot.

I am married, a mother and grandmother.I learnt to cook from my parents at a very young age of seven. I started to cook simple dishes for the family and gradually learnt how to cook. My mum use to cook at our shop where we sold Indian sweets and savouries. I have learnt a lot from my mum. I started cooking fusion dishes and learning from others. My strong point is making sweet dishes and innovating new dishes. I can improvise and be creative in leftover dishes.I love being on Cookpad because I can share and learn new recipes. I have also made a lot of friends.
