Strawberry Milk Pudding

I wanted to make a mild dessert for my kids.

If you like a rich flavor, increase the amount of heavy cream. Then increase the amounts of gelatin and sugar to match.
You could also make it without strawberries and with mandarin oranges, etc.
If you make this with low fat or non fat milk, it'll separate into two layers.
But if you mix before eating, you won't notice a difference in flavor. Recipe by Kyocchin

Ingredients

  1. 5Strawberries
  2. 200 mlMilk (using low fat or non fat results in two layers)
  3. 100 mlHeavy cream
  4. 2 tbspor more Sugar
  5. 5 gramsGelatin
  6. 2 tbsp☆ Milk

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

Cut the strawberries into small pieces, and use the flat of the knife to lightly smash.

  2. 2

Combine the ☆ ingredients and set aside. It'll be stiff but it will properly dissolve. Add milk (see Hints), heavy cream, and sugar to a pot and heat before it reaches boiling point. Stop the heat, add the combined ☆ ingredients and mix well. Once it's no longer powdery, add the strawberries from Step 1 and cool in the refrigerator until it stiffens. Done.

  3. 3

As this doesn't use a lot of gelatin it'll take awhile before it stiffens, but it's really smooth.

  4. 4

It's difficult to tell just by looking at it, but this is double-layered with low fat and nonfat milk.
