Sweet Tamagoyaki with Dashi

My family's tamagoyaki (Japanese rolled omelette) for our lunch bentos have a sweet flavor. I've loved this since I was a child!
Sugar in the mixture can burn easily, so try not to heat the frying pan too much. (Recipe by Nanaiku)

Steps
- 1
Beat the egg in a bowl. Add the dashi and the sugar, then mix.
- 2
Heat vegetable oil in a tamagoyaki pan. When heated well, pour in 1/2 of the egg mixture.
- 3
When it's half cooked, roll it over towards you.
- 4
Push it over to the other side, and pour the rest of the egg mixture in the open space. Again, when it's half cooked, roll it over towards you.
- 5
Roll over so the fold is on the bottom and fry a bit longer.
- 6
Cut into 3 equal pieces and serve or pack into lunches.
