In a large bowl, add the flour and make a well in the center. Add the yeast, oil, salt, and 1/2 cup warm water. Gently mix everything together with your hands or a spatula. Once combined, transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for at least 10 minutes (until the dough starts to make a slight sound—grandma's secret).

Divide the dough into evenly sized balls and flatten them with your fingers. Cover and let them rise for 1 hour.
