Crunchy-Skinned Chicken Wings on the Grill

This is a pretty standard recipe in my house.
Cooking these wings on a fish grill helps get rid of fat and leaves behind a crispy skin, which can only be a good thing.
Adding leek and ginger will help get rid of any meaty smell from the chicken.
The meat will be really plump from the boiling.
After boiling, the meat will get cooked through so there's no need to worry about the middle being raw when you're browning the skin.
Feel free to leave the ends of the wings on, you don't have to cut them off if you don't want to.
※ I used a single-sided grill in this recipe. Recipe by Poron526

Cooking Instructions
- 1
Slice the chicken wings fron the joint to the end. Slice the ginger. ※There is more ginger and leek in this picture than you need by the way.
- 2
Add the water and chicken wings to a deep frying pan and once the water is boiling, throw the water away. ※ Make sure to rinse away any excess scum.
- 3
Add enough water to submerge the chicken to the frying pan from step 2, along with the cooking sake, leek and ginger. Boil the chicken in this mixture for 15 minutes until cooked through.
- 4
Take out the chicken wings and season each side with salt and ground pepper. Place the chicken on the grill and grill each side until well browned.
- 5
You can use the leftover liquid from step 3 to create a delicious and easy soup as well. Simply remove the leek and ginger, add in some grated garlic, salt and pepper, light soy sauce and a beaten egg. Once the egg becomes fluffy it's ready.

Spicy Crispy Oven Wings Spicy Crispy Oven Wings
I usually chop up the wings, deep fry & toss with wet sauces. This is a diff version. Season, bake & serve. By preheating the tray & spraying with non stick spray, the wings will start to sizzle as soon as you place them on the tray & come out crispy. The Hungarian paprika & cayenne pepper will give the hot spice. WeekendWarriors -

This dish is packed with flavor. Grilling the wings instead of frying it is also a healthier alternative. The lemongrass adds a refreshing flavor and a layer of complexity. Be careful not to grill on too high heat as the oil from the marinade can speed up the cooking process and singe the skin. The skinny chef
