Chikuwa Rolls in a Teriyaki Sauce

I usually make this stuffed with quail eggs, but I wondered if it would be good made just with chikuwa and tried it out!
You don't have to dust it with katakuriko, but if you do the sauce will coat the chikuwa better and be more delicious. Recipe by kojyu

I usually make this stuffed with quail eggs, but I wondered if it would be good made just with chikuwa and tried it out!

Cut the chikuwa in half lengthwise. Roll up the halves and and skewer two rolls on each toothpick.

Put the katakuriko and the rolled chikuwa in a plastic bag. Shake to coat the chikuwa.

Heat oil in a frying pan and pan fry the chikuwa. Wipe the oil from pan, add the ○ ingredients, and when the sauce is glossy, sprinkle with sesame seeds to finish.
