Steps
- 1
METHOD FOR CRISPY PANEER STICKS ~
Cut the Paneer into long thick strips.
Thickness of the paneer : 1.5cm
Lenght of the Paneer : 2½"- 3"inches. - 2
In a bowl, take Maida (flour), Cornflour, Ginger garlic paste, 2 tbspn Tomato Ketchup, pepper powder, salt to taste. Add around 15ml to 20ml of water & stir well to achieve a batter like consistency. (Similar to the batter used to make pakodas) The batter should not be too thick not too runny. It should be right consistency to coat the paneer.
- 3
Dip the paneer sticks into the batter one by one and coat the paneer nicely.
Remove & roll them immediately into a bed of breadcrumbs. Keep it aside. - 4
METHOD FOR SWEET Chilli GARLIC SAUCE ~
In a pan heat 2 tbspn oil. Put in finely chopped garlic. Saute for a bit and put pepper powder.
Now add 4tbspn tomato ketchup, red chilli sauce & soya sauce. Saute well. - 5
Add 15ml - 20ml water & mix well. Let this simmer for about a minute or till the sauce gets thick. Now add freshly chopped Mint leaves. Mix it well. Remove from heat & cool it !(Keep it aside)
- 6
METHOD TO FRY THE PANEER STICKS ~
Now in a pan / kadai heat oil. Once the oil is medium hot, slide in the paneer two or three at a time & fry them at medium heat, till it gets a beautiful crisp brown colour. - 7
Remove from heat and serve with Sweet Chilli Garlic Sauce!
