My Apple & Rhubarb pie 😃

I was trying this out first and not putting it on here but it's so nice I have to add it on here. I dont have pics of how I was making it as it was a trial....but so nice I had to share it. The two fruits go together I would recomend you use 6 sticks of Rhubarb instead of 4 I used. #Seasonalingredient #Dessert

Add the Apples to 1/4 cup water and boil

Also the rhubarb to 1/4 cup water add the sugar.

When they are soft and cooked drain off any liquid left from the rhubarb and mix with the Apples cooked

Roll out your pastry to fit the oven dish a bottom layer and a top layer

Grease the oven dish, add the bottom layer then add the Apple and Rhubarb

Next add the top wet around the edges all around so add the top pastry sticks to the bottom. Press your finger all the way around to stick it together

Using a brush, brush gently some milk over the top of the pastry cut 2 slits through the top.

Add to a preheated oven on 160°C for 30 - 40 minutes. Take out when golden browned on top and rest it to cool down.

Serve with Ice cream on top, custard or Cream.
