A special burfi for fasting days and I refer them as white energy bites with benefits of foxnut and coconut. Note: No ghee burfi... so do try it once.
Steps

Dry roast makhana over a pan and grind then in a mixer grinder. Keep aside.

In the same pan boil ½ litre of milk. Stir occasionally. Reduce it to half on medium flame

Add crushed makhana to the milk. Mix well till it gets into a dough like consistency.

Now add desicated coconut. Mix well for 2 min. The mixture should run dry.

Add sugar and stir well. The sugar will start melting and will make the mixture wet.

Keep stirring till it again gets into dough like consistency. Add cardamom powder, almonds or nuts of your choice.

Grease a container and poue this mixture while hot and allow it to set for nearly 2 hours at room temperature.
Garnish the burfi with chopped almonds or the dry-fruits of your choice. - 8
When the burfi is set, cut it into desire shape. Keep it in a refrigerator.
