Steps

Firstly wash the chana and soak them overnight. Next day boil it along with the potato pieces by adding turmeric powder and salt. Keep this aside.

Now let's come to masala preparation. Heat a pan. Add some oil. Then add all the khada masalas, mentioned above. Now let them splutter. Then add grated onion & ginger-garlic paste. Fry it for about 2 mins. Then add tomatoes into it. Fry them for about 2 more mins.

Then add dried masalas into it, turmeric powder, coriander powder, red chilli powder, salt & sugar. Mix everything well and fry the masalas on a low flame, until oil starts releasing from the pan.

Then add chopped mint leaves and give it a good mix. Now add the boiled chana-potato mixture into it. Now combine it well with the masalas.

Now cover the pan and cook it for about 2 mins on a low flame. Then add kasuri methi to it. Mix it and again cook it for about 5 mins. Finally add some chopped coriander and mix it.

Now switch off the flame. Garnish it with some more chopped coriander and serve it hot with some rice or puris.
