Soak dal for half and hour and pressure cook the daal and cook for 3 whistle.

When the dal is cooked,add water and adjust to consistency.It should not me much liquid, the dal should be medium thick.Add salt and haldi and mix it properly and heat for 5 min.

Your varan is ready,serve with hot steam rice topped with ghee and enjoy.
