Very Handy for Bento! Chicken Breast Teriyaki Flavor

Teriyaki sauce from McDonald's is very sweet, but the mayonnaise makes it even sweeter and thicker. But I really love it - Sometimes I really want to eat it.
I tried to recreate the Teriyaki flavor.

Make sure you fry the chicken breasts quickly over medium heat as it gets hard when over cooked.
The coating will slide off if you over touch it when mixing with sauce.
Discard the melted mayonnaise (smooth oil) (it's just oily and tasteless).
Avoid using low fat mayonnaise as it does not melt well with heat. Recipe by moj

Ingredients

  • 1Chicken breast
  • 1◎Sake, soy sauce (for marinating the meat)
  • 1◎Katakuriko
  • 3 tbsp★Mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp★Soy sauce
  • 1 1/2 tbsp★Sugar
  • 1 dash★Pepper

Steps

  1. 1

    Slice chicken breast diagonally into bite size strips and marinate in soy sauce and sake (1:4 ratio).

    Coat chicken with katakuriko. Heat a generous amount of oil in a frying pan and fry both sides of chicken until golden brown.

    Add ★ and mix well. ※The mayonnaise will melt and turn into oil. Dispose this.
