I have made these shumai for my family for the past 20+ years.

You don't need to place the shrimp on the top for decoration.

Ingredients

4 servings
  1. 150 gramsShrimp
  2. 150 gramsMinced pork
  3. 3Shiitake mushrooms
  4. 1/2 largeOnion or Japanese leek
  5. 1 tbsp★Sesame oil
  6. 1 tsp★Sugar
  7. 1 tsp★Salt
  8. 1 tbsp★Soy sauce
  9. 1 bagShumai skins

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the shrimp and then mince in a food processor. Put the ground pork, shrimp, and seasoning ingredients into a bowl and combine well.

    Place the mixture in the center of the shumai skins and wrap it up. Place in a steaming basket and steam for 8-10 minutes over high heat.
