Meat sauce that my mother made for me.

If you don't like the sour taste, use more Worcestershire and less ketchup. You can use any leftover sauce in another recipe or refrigerate it for later.

Ingredients

4 servings
  1. 400 gramsPasta
  2. 1Salt
  3. 1Olive oil or vegetable oil
  4. Meat sauce
  5. 1/2Carrot
  6. 1Onion
  7. 250 gramsGround meat
  8. 1 tbspCake flour
  9. 100 ml☆Ketchup
  10. 100 ml☆Worcestershire sauce (medium thickness)
  11. 200 ml☆Water
  12. 1☆Consomme cube

Cooking Instructions

    Mince the onion and carrot and set aside.

    Heat the ground meat. Add the onion and carrot and cook thoroughly. Once cooked add the cake flour and continue to heat.

    Add all of the ingredients marked with ☆. Once the consomme cube has dissolved and the whole thing has a heaviness to it, it's finished.

    Boil the pasta in salt water as directed on the package. Drain, and while it's still hot, toss with olive or vegetable oil.

    Plate. Top with powdered cheese, parsley, and tabasco sauce if you like.

    Variation: You can make "Pumpkin Meat Gratin" by microwaving pumpkin then covering with meat sauce and cheese and then baking in the oven.
