Soak urad da in water for 3 hours. Grind it with green chilies n ginger. Add little water. Add sliced onions and cabbage.

Heat the oil in Kadai. On a plastic sheet place, a vada batter n flatten it n give a round shape. To avoid stickiness wet your fingers n also a plastic sheet. Drop it in hot oil. Add 5 to 6 vadas in kadai. Dont overcrowd. Once turns golden flip n deep fry on Otherside.
