Boil meat with ginger,garlic and chilli paste.

When half done,add salt and potatoes.

When water dries up and meat is tender,remove from heat.

Heat oil in another pan.

Fry onions,cumin,peppercorns,cloves,cinnamon and cardamoms.

Fry onions till light golden.

When onions turn golden,keep it on an absorbent paper and leave to cool.

Now crush onion very finely.

Whisk yoghurt and add onion in it.

Add this yoghurt,onion mixture in meat.

Mix well and keep aside.

Boil rice and keep aside.

In a large skillet,layer rice and meat.

Dilute food colour and saffron in 1/4 cup milk.

Pour this on rice.

Cover and cook on dum for 10-20 minutes.

Serve hot with raita.
