Ingredients

20 minutes
4-5 servings
  • 250 gcheese (Paneer)
  • 4large size onions Finely chopped
  • 4green chillies finely chopped
  • 4large tomatoes finely chopped
  • 1/2 tspcumin seeds
  • 1 tspoil
  • 1 inchginger + 3-4 garlic cloves make a paste in mortar pestle
  • 1/2 TSPred chilli powder
  • 1/2 TSPturmeric powder
  • 1/2 tspcoriander powder
  • as per tasteSalt
  • 1 tspgaram masala powder
  • 1 tspchopped coriander leaves

Steps

20 minutes
  1. 1

    Crumble the paneer and keep aside

  2. 2

    Heat oil in a pan. Let the oil become hot on a medium-low or medium flame.

  3. 3

    Add cumin seeds. Let them crackle and change color. Once they get browned, add onions.

  4. 4

    Mix well and sauté the onions. When the onions turns golden brown then add chopped green chillies and ginger garlic paste

  5. 5

    Sauté for some seconds till the raw aroma of the ginger-garlic goes away.

  6. 6

    Then add tomatoes and sauté till they become soft. You can add a pinch of salt so that the tomatoes get cooked faster.

    Now add dry spices powders – turmeric, red chili powder, coriander powder and garam masala powder.

    Mix the spice powders very well and sauté for 5 to 6 minutes
    Then, add the crumbled paneer. Mix throughly and cook for 1 minute.

  9. 9

    At Last add the chopped coriander leaves and mix.

  10. 10

    Serve Paneer Bhurji with roti, plain paratha
