Dashi Chazuke with Broiled Eel

I love eel. I added mirin to a recipe that I have been making for a very long time.
I turned it into an easy-to-make, single serving recipe.

Step 1: It tastes delicious if you first make a rice bowl with broiled eel and then turn it into ochazuke.
It's fine to mix the eel sauce directly into the rice first.
Using bonito dashi stock releases a much more delicious flavor than using instant dashi granules. Recipe by Yuuyuu0221

Ingredients

1 serving
  1. 1Eel
  2. 1Eel sauce
  3. 350 gramsWhite rice
  4. Dashi Stock
  5. 200 mlBonito dashi stock
  6. 1/2 tsp★Mirin
  7. 1/2 tsp★Usukuchi soy sauce
  8. 1 pinch★Salt
  9. 1Wasabi
  10. 1Nori (shredded or torn apart)
  11. 1Mitsuba or green onions

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Make the sauce. Chop the mitsuba and nori. Put the ★ ingredients into the bonito dashi stock and heat.

    Put rice in a bowl, add the sauce, and mix well. Place the eel on top and pour over the dashi stock.

    Garnish with mitsuba, wasabi, and nori.
