Christmas Chicken in a Frying Pan

I generally serve chicken with garlicky, sweet-and-salty teriyaki sauce, but this time I tried something new and served it with my hamburger sauce recipe.
Be sure to brown the chicken skin well.
※Adjust the heat to somewhere between medium-high heat. Recipe by cocoko

Cooking Instructions
- 1
Season the chicken with salt and pepper and let sit for about 10 minutes. In a pan, heat oil and cook the chicken, skin-side down.
- 2
Cook the chicken over a medium heat until nicely browned (I covered with a lid to prevent oil splatter.)
- 3
When the skin is golden brown, flip and cook the other side. ※ At this point, the chicken doesn't need to be fully cooked.
- 4
When both sides are nicely brown, wipe off any excess fat and add the ☆ ingredients. Cover with a lid and cook, turning over the chicken occasionally.
- 5
When the chicken is fully cooked, remove the lid and continue to cook until the sauce thickens. Transfer the chicken to serving plates.
- 6
Add the ★ onions and butter to the sauce left in the frying pan and cook for 2-3 minutes.
- 7
Let the sauce thicken further.
- 8
Pour the sauce over the chicken and scatter greens on the side – they taste great eaten together.

Simple Chicken Char-siu in a Frying Pan Simple Chicken Char-siu in a Frying Pan
Since there are so many recipes for using a boiling method to make char-siu, I used nutritious chicken breast, which is healthier than chicken thigh, and just one frying pan to easily make moist and tender chicken char-siu. Grease will come out from the skin so there's no need to use oil.For the photo, I wrapped boiled string beans into the chicken. It's good for a bento lunchbox! At the end, quickly raising the temperature to high makes the soy sauce burn so when you're boiling down the liquid, keep your eye on it and only raise the heat to medium. Yakitori in a Frying Pan (How to Prepare Tender Chicken) Yakitori in a Frying Pan (How to Prepare Tender Chicken)
I love homemade yakitori, but I hate the smoke filling the house after making them. I use a frying pan to resolve this problem. Marinate the chicken with sake first to make it tender even after sautéing in a frying pan. My yakitori sauceis also homemade, of course.Marinating chicken in sake makes it very tender, so marinate it for at least 30 minutes. Remove the excess fat when sautéing the chicken with kitchen paper and you will have lighter chicken. Grilling a whole piece of chicken thigh and cutting into bite-sized pieces is another option to make tasty chicken yakitori. Recipe by Heartful Kitchen Rei cookpad.japan -
