Ingredients

3 servings
  1. For the Mujadara:
  2. 1 cupcoarse bulgur, rinsed (about 180 grams)
  3. 1/2 cuplentils, rinsed (about 100 grams)
  4. 1/2 cupolive oil (about 120 ml)
  5. 1onion
  6. Salt to taste
  7. For the Fattoush:
  8. 1/2 bunchparsley
  9. Slightly less than 1/2 bunch each of thyme, mint, and purslane
  10. 3tomatoes
  11. 2cucumbers
  12. 2radishes
  13. 1little pomegranate molasses, lemon juice, sumac, and salt

Steps

40 minutes
  1. 1

    Boil the lentils, then add the bulgur with 2 cups water (about 480 ml) and cook until tender.

  2. 2

    Sauté the onion in olive oil, then add it to the bulgur and lentils.

  3. 3

    For the fattoush, mix all the vegetables, then add lemon juice, pomegranate molasses, sumac, and salt.

  4. 4

    Serve with fried bread.
