Extravagant Double Apple Cake

Since even apples that aren't sweet can
taste amazing in cakes, I wanted to come up with a recipe that highlights the natural flavor of apples.
Bring the apple and egg to room temperature before use.
Adjust the sugar anywhere from 60 - 80 g depending on the sweetness of the apples. Recipe by Puru berry

Cooking Instructions
- 1
Line the cake mold with parchment paper. To learn how to neatly line a cake mold with paper, refer to.

- 2
Soften the butter in the microwave until it has a mayonnaise-like consistency (if straight out of the refrigerator, microwave at 300 W for 40 - 45 seconds).
- 3
Add the sugar and mix well. Preheat the oven to 180°C (356 Fahrenheit).
- 4
Beat the egg and gradually add it to the bowl while stirring the rest of the ingredients. If the egg is cold, it will separate from the butter, so make sure to bring it to room temperature first.
- 5
Grate half of the apple and cut the other half into 5 mm pieces. You could also cut it into 1 cm cubes.
- 6
Mix the grated apple into Step 4.
- 7
Combine the flour and baking powder and sift. Use a rubber spatula to gently mix into the batter.
- 8
Add the chunks of apple.
- 9
Pour the batter into the cake mold, smooth the surface, and bake for 45 minutes at 180°C.
- 10
Once an inserted skewer comes out cleanly, remove the cake by the parchment paper and cool on a cooling rack.
- 11
When it has cooled, tightly wrap it in plastic wrap and let it sit for one day. It tastes better the next day so try to restrain yourself. Wait at least half a day.
- 12
If you can't wait a day, you can enjoy it hot and fresh from the oven. It will taste just like apple pie.

Caramelized Apple Cake Caramelized Apple Cake
I made this because I got a lot of apples. When making the batter, be sure to add the sugar and the egg in parts, not all at once. Also, if the egg is still cold, Step 9 will become difficult, so be sure to bring it to room temperature. The ratio of sugar to apples for the caramelized apples is 10 g of sugar per 50 g of apples. Exquisite Tart Tatin-style Apple Cake Exquisite Tart Tatin-style Apple Cake
I based this recipe on Makiko Fujino's "Tart Tartin Style Cake" and adjusted the ingredients to my preference and also reduced the amount of tools used to save on clean-up time.I use a Teflon-coated deep pot with removable handles that can be used in the oven. This saves on clean-up time and is simple and easy for cooking! But it's fine to use a pot with handles that can be put in the oven. If you don't have one, make the caramel in a small sauce pan, then pour it into a round cake pan. The cake is delicious fresh from the oven, but if you let it sit for 1 to 2 days, the caramelized apples will blend into the cake and it will become nice and moist. Recipe by *porin* cookpad.japan -

This is a variation on a recipe I once copied from some printed source. It's a family favorite that I've been making since high school.Keep whipping the eggs until pale and thick. The batter is light enough to rise even without baking powder. You can use vegetable oil instead of olive oil, but it tastes better with olive oil.Sprinkle some cinnamon powder on the apples if you prefer. Easy Apple Cake Easy Apple Cake
I thought maybe since there are so many apples in this cake, it is low in calories and so it often has been featured as a snack at my house. This recipe uses a relatively modest amount of sugar, so don't reduce it further.Adding just the cinnamon is tasty, but I like to bake this cake with cinnamon, cardamom, cloves, nutmeg and ginger. In this case cinnamon should be the main spice and a single sprinkle of the other spices is enough.Serving with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream makes this cake even more delicious! For 18 x 18 cm [7.1 x 7.1 in] cake. Recipe by spitze cookpad.japan -
Caramel Apple Cake Caramel Apple Cake
Making the same apple cake over and over is boring, so I came up with this new version. For those who don't want their cut apples to discolour, squirt some lemon juice . In Step 2 when making the caramel, lining the frying pan makes it far easier to clean at the end! Keep an eye on the caramel right until it changes colour. Once it's a brown tea colour, take it off the heat. Recipe by mimiko10 cookpad.japan -
French Apple Cake French Apple Cake
I am not a cake person. I would trade a red velvet cheesecake for a cookie anytime. I somehow dislike the light airy sponginess. So, when it comes to the cakes that I would eat are those that are dense, fudgy or custardy. More like a brownie or a parisian flan consistency. For this Thanksgiving special, I decided to make a simple French apple cake.Call me weird, but I am that type of person who adore very simple cakes without all the fancy frosting or decorations. Don't get me wrong tho. I do admire cakes with excellent frosting art. I love how this cake draws natural flavors from the apples. It is custardy, not too overly sweet and the apples add a nice crunch.I am using a mixture of apples; gala and granny smith. Granny smith tends to be on the tart side and while this cake depends entirely on the apples for flavors, I would highly recommend use a sweeter red apple in the mix. Gala is a great choice. I decided not to peel the Gala apples cos I like the contrast between peeled and unpeeled. I am also using a mixture of sugar. Again, contrast between granulated and dark muscovado sugar. I decided to serve my apple cake with apricot compote, vanilla bean ice cream and a drizzle of beurre noisette. Beurre noisette is actually browned butter. I think we should get started with the recipe instead of me talking too much. Daniel Lim -
