Cooking Instructions
- 1
Pre heat oven to 180 degrees celsius on fan grill. Boil a jug of water.
- 2
In a bowl add dried dates and cover until fully submerged with just boiling water. leave this to sit while you prepare the rest of the ingredients.
- 3
On a baking sheet place peanuts, grill in the oven for about 3-5 mins until golden and toasty. They should be done when you can smell them and see all the natural oils.
- 4
In a large food processor place peanuts and process to a peanut butter consistency. This takes time but is a satisfying process. Every 30 seconds make sure you turn off your food processor and scrape down the sides to ensure even processing but also this stops the blender from overheating. TRUST the process the butter will form it just takes awhile.
- 5
After the peanut butter has been made add in the drained soaked dates and protein powder. Blend (Save the date water for the next step)
- 6
The mixture will be thick and sticky add 1 tbsp at a time the date water until a dough like ball forms. Place into a container, sprinkle with coconut and refrigerate for at least 3 hours before serving.

Definitely delicious and a great energy restorer after heavy workouts or cardio. You'll be tempted to even eat it as a dessert after any meal. ;) (**Disclaimer: I would highly suggest you not eat these bars or other items with protein powder in them unless having been doing intense physical activity, for they can be very unhealthy if eaten on a lazy day.) Rice Cereal Bars with Peanut Butter Rice Cereal Bars with Peanut Butter
I used Kellogg's "Rice Krispies Squares Original Recipe" as a reference. Usually you use butter or margarine, but I used peanut butter instead. I added peanuts too, and changed the ingredients. I also added white chocolate since the rice cereal is not that sweet. When mixing the cereal and marshmallows together, it hardens and sets very fast, so it's pretty tough work. Try putting a little butter on the spatula - that is supposed to help. It's easier to put the mixture into the mold and press down with your hands rather than with a spatula. The white chocolate is optional, but puffed rice is not that sweet, so the bars taste better with chocolate. For 14 4cm x 6cm x 3cm bars. Recipe by VitaminY cookpad.japan -
Vegan Breakfast Nut Bars Vegan Breakfast Nut Bars
This recipe is packed full of both quick and sustained energy for a convenient grab and go breakfast or pick me up snack. It is very adaptable. I like to make with chopped macadamias, hazelnuts, almonds, cashews, pepitas, sunflower seeds, and sesame seeds. I've also added cacao nibs. Whatever I have in pantry. For fruit I like to use cranberries and raisins but is fun to try different variations. The final bars can be a little crumbly, depending on the mix, so we keep in the freezer and they are best when eaten straight away, without thawing. If they crumble too much when cutting I just squeeze the crumbs into a ball or log shape and this works just as well as a bar shape. Liz Hargraves -

Banana Peanut Butter Overnight Oats Banana Peanut Butter Overnight Oats
Here is another overnight oats recipe. I didn't really talk about overnight oats in my previous post cos I was explaining why I am uploading my brunch recipes on this website. Anyway, one of the things I love fondly about being vegan (I was a vegan) is overnight oats. I literally came up with loads of concoctions for my overnight oats; red velvet cheesecake, triple chocolate, etc etc.Although they are vegan and plant based, but they are not really healthy. Which is one of the many reasons why I stopped being a vegan. These are a couple of overnight oats recipes which, in my perspective, are healthy, vegan and plant-based. Anyway, I really hope you will give this recipe a try. What I adore about these overnight oats is you can prepare them the night before bed, get them on the go during next morning rush. Daniel Lim -
