First Up: Wash & Chop the Apples fine-
Heat up a frying pan over the medium flame- Add in the butter to it & then, the chopped apples, a pinch of salt, measured amount of caster sugar & honey, cinnamon & nutmeg powders- One by one - 2
Sauté, until the entire moisture & water release from the Apples evaporates, leaving it to a dry & sticky-mushy consistency-
That’s exactly how it should be like-
Turn off the flame & let it cool down completely - 3
Next, cut the 4 edges of the Bread Slices nicely-
Roll out each one, into a thin (about 1 cm thick), flat surface for the Apples fillings to be dumped into- Brush the 4 edges of the rolled out breads with the egg wash- At one side of the bread slice, fill in with the prepared Apples mixtures & then, fold the other half to cover it up, pressing very gently & then, with a fork, mark out the closed edges (refer to the pics given below) - 4
Finally, neatly shave off its sides/edges neatly, giving it a clean & fair look-
Place all of them, one by one into the lined & greased Baking Tray/Dish- Give, all the pieces a generous egg-wash quite meticulously so as to have a rich crispy browned textured surface on its outer body while soft, mushy & gooey inside- That’s exactly how it should taste - 5
Now, bake the same in a preheated oven @180C for not more than 12-15 mins time or until golden browned nicely all over-
Turning off the oven, take it out & allow it to cool down completely or quite substantially to be able to be had just as in time, with your favourite hot cuppa - 6
